CCI Stinger is a hyper-velocity (faster than "high velocity" with a lighter projectile) load recommended for small game hunting, varmint hunting, pest control and plinking.  The Stinger is one of the hottest, fastest 22lr rounds out there.  CCI is known in the shooting sports industry for having very reliable ammunition that delivers exceptional performance time and time again.

This is the classic Hyper Velocity Varminting load from CCI.  "Hyper" velocity are loads even faster than "high" velocity which is everything from maybe 1,300 fps and up.  CCI Stingers are a lighter projectile at 32 grains (av. 22lr is 40gr.) AND a longer 22lr case holding even more powder, that's how it achieves its rated 1,640 fps.  This is a very flat shooting 22lr load that in spite of its lighter bullet, still hits critters hard and has now for generations of rimfire shooters.  Before CCI's more modern 22lr designs like the 45gr Suppressor (our favorite) or newest Suppressor Max or Uppercut, Stingers were the long trusted defensive round for those picking 22lr for their personal defense.
