The Pointed Soft Point projectile on this load will slowly deform the projectile upon impact with a soft target and penetrate less than FMJ but more than most hollow points. Great value for CQB accuracy and effectiveness
So far, I have run 100 rounds of this 55gr PSP through a YHM 1:7 AR. Zero failures or problems of any kind. Accuracy was considerably better than the 55gr FMJ I ran first on that day. At 25 yards, every hole of each 5-shot group was touching, usually in a dime- or nickel-size group. There are numerous gel test videos and hunting videos available that show consistent mushrooming performance of the 55gr PSP design, so I have no doubt that these will be excellent CQB rounds. Plus, with this low price, you can train with what you fight with.
