This is a well-made gas block with an excellent finish. It is actually so well finished that it was almost a shame that I had to put a handguard over it. Aluminum gas blocks really should not be used as their mass difference is offset by the possible erosion at the gas point.

The block was easy to mount thanks to the recessed index on the barrel and the index screws on the block. No issues with compression. No leaking gas. No movement after the first 100 rounds.

These gas blocks fit very nice under a 12" hand gaurd.
Installation is simply with the set screws.

Fits under my cheap-o Omega quad rail just fine, hasn't exploded, and works just like a YHM low profile gas block for about the same price.

One caveat, though—if I could go back in time, I'd have gone with the aluminium block for weight constraints. As Nutnfancy says, "if you don't watch the ounces, you'll cry about the pounds". The aluminium one is cheaper too :D
